周三（9月16日）中国股市一改前两个交易日的颓势，千股涨停的奇观再现，A股狂飙近5%，重回3100点，而近期萎靡的创业板则终于爆发，单日7.16%涨幅则创上市以来最大。
欧洲方面，股市连续第二日收高，泛欧绩优股FTSEurofirst 300指数收涨1.57%，报1427.55点。欧元区绩优股Euro STOXX 50指数上涨1.65%。德股DAX指数收升0.38%，报10227.21点。英股富时100指数收涨1.49%，报6229.21点，法股CAC指数上涨1.67%，报4645.84点。
另外，因油价大涨近6%推高能源股，美国股市同样收涨。其中，道琼工业指数上升140.10点，或0.84%，至16739.95点；标准普尔500指数上涨17.22点，或0.87%，至1995.31点；Nasdaq指数小涨28.72点，或0.59%，至4889.24点。
