伊拉克军队与极端组织“伊斯兰国”武装分子周三(7月15日)在伊西部安巴尔省多个地区爆发激烈武装冲突。
安巴尔省一名安全官员告诉记者，伊拉克军队与民兵当天对“伊斯兰国”占领的该省首府拉马迪发动了3轮进攻，但遭到武装分子猛烈抵抗。“伊斯兰国”武装还派出自杀式袭击者驾驶载有炸药的卡车冲入伊军阵地，造成至少８名伊军士兵及民兵死亡、17人受伤，伊拉克军队随后被迫停止进攻。
