据路透社报道，欧元区股市周一录得2011年来最大单日跌幅，南欧银行股跌幅居前，因希腊关闭银行，并实施资本控制。
欧元区银行股的市值蒸发了约300亿欧元(333亿美元)，因投资者担忧希腊退欧可能造成的涟漪效应，随即抛售金融股。
不过抛售没有达到恐慌程度，欧股今年迄今仍有约10%的升幅，离七年高位不远。
部分投资人表示已经开始寻找买入机会，因相信欧洲央行将入市干预以遏制长期的市场波动。其他投资人表示，仍押注可能避免“希腊退欧”。
欧元区绩优股Euro STOXX 50指数急跌4.2%，报3,468.90点，为四年内表现最差的一日。
葡萄牙和意大利指标指数重挫5%。欧洲股市波动性指数攀升至六个月高位。
泛欧绩优股FTSEurofirst 300指数急跌2.78%，报1,530.27点。
德股DAX指数重挫3.56%，收报11,083.20点，法股CAC指数急跌3.74%，报4,869.82点；
英国富时100指数下挫1.97%，报6,620.48点。
