NMMEX原油价格周二(5月19日)早盘继续持于60美元下方。周一(5月18日)日内，油价在中东地区局势再度趋紧，伊拉克安全部队与“伊斯兰国”武装陷于苦战的状况下一度跳升，但这一消息时间影响短暂，因中东局势并未对当地的原油供给造成实际的冲击。
此外，美元汇价的反弹也打压了以美元计价的原油价格。此后，美国的API和EIA原油库存数据，仍是左右油价进一步走势的关键。除此之外，美联储本周三(5月20日)发布的4月政策会议纪要也会对油价下一步走势给出更多指引。若美联储在会议纪要中确实强调了近期经济趋软的状况，那么美元指数的进一步下探或许会短暂提振油价，但经济不振的前景却对原油价格中长期走势不利。而在供给层面上，伊朗官员已经明确表示，石油输出国组织(OPEC)料不会在下月的会议上做出减产决定，这也意味着油价近期上涨空间将显著受限。
