对冲基金再减黄金多头头寸

数据显示，在过去5周中有4周对冲基金削减其黄金多头头寸，并且其持仓量降到了两个月最低水平。并且在8月中，黄金ETP的持有量出现了5月以来的最大流出。威尔斯资本管理的投资策略主管说：“在经济持续增长的情况下，黄金是没多少吸引力的，利率上升在长期也是对金价没有好处的。金价非常受地域争端的情况已经消失了。”
CFTC数据显示，Comex黄金期货和期权的净多头头寸下降了21%至92734个，这是自6月3日以来的最大跌幅，空头头寸下降51%至36877个。巴克莱分析师认为，金价缺乏真正的动作，这使得投资者们都在旁观。“美联储并不急于升息，继续持有黄金是比较谨慎的。乌克兰和伊拉克局势没有被接近的迹象，黄金就会有所支撑。”
