黄金投资指数有所增长

根据来自世界领先的黄金和白银网上交易所BullionVault的7月份黄金投资者指数显示，私人贵金属交易平台的黄金投资人气接近4年来的低点。但是大型投资者的黄金需求在7月仍然增长，BullionVault的客户黄金持有量在7月增加0.8%至创纪录的33吨。
此黄金持有量比香港，爱尔兰，卡塔尔和捷克共和国的黄金储备总和还要大，所有黄金都是私人拥有并存放在全球5个地区的专业非银行金库中保管。7月的黄金买家对比上个月略有增加，而卖家则比上个月略有下跌。这让BullionVault黄金投资者指数从6月的52个月低点51.2反弹至51.9。
该指数在2011年9月时触及历史最高点的71.7，在2010年2月时则获得最低点的48.8。当指数停留在50时，则表示交易市场中的买家和卖家达到了完美的平衡。BullionVault市场研究部主管表示：“大型投资者回归黄金投资，但是更广泛的投资者们仍然谨慎对待贵金属投资，尽管今年的地缘政治风险非常活跃。使用BullionVault交易黄金的人们现在已经将2013年价格崩溃时出售的黄金又买回来了少数的大卖家在去年抵消了来自新投资者的购买需求，但今年到目前为止，这些大卖家开始从新买入。”
投资者们还希望通过把自己的资产置放在不同的地理位置来分散风险，苏黎世金库仍然是BullionVault用户比较着重的选择地点，而新加坡也在持续快速的增长。
自2005年4月BullionVault营业以来迄今，在苏黎世金库中现在持有24.3吨黄金，这占我们客户黄金持有总量的73%左右。而BullionVault新加坡金库自2013年3月开始开启使用，现在有1吨黄金库存（3%）。而在纽约（2%）和伦敦（20%）的黄金库存自2014年以来开始有所下滑。而多伦多金库自去年8月以来也开始有所增加，现在黄金持有量为0.3吨（1%）。
2013年3月BullionVault用户持有的黄金总量曾达到当时的记录32.9吨，但是随着去年的金价崩溃，所有客户的持金量也随之下降了1吨。2014年7月结束时，金价从年初的1180美元回升至1285美元每盎司，2014年迄今黄金击败所有其他主要资产类别的回报率。BullionVault用户的白银持有量也连续两个月持平，现在停留在462吨的持有量上。
