新加坡走向黄金中心

上周四(7月24日)新加坡的黄金加工商美泰乐集团加入到了伦敦当地黄金和白银批发市场的贸易协会（LBMA）符合交割规则的名单中。这被认为是新加坡走向全球黄金和贵金属中心的重要一步。
美泰乐称：“通过了LBMA的繁琐的测试程序，其金条被独立检查人员检测和实验，并且其自身的测试能力也通过了测试过。”美泰乐主要将来自金饰方面的黄金原料以及其它原料加工成大的金条，满足工业和机构需要。加工厂上个月开启，预计年生产量在150吨左右。
新加坡贸易与工业部兼国家发展部高级政务部长李奕贤 对此表示，黄金行业对新加坡经济有着很大贡献。称到2020年，黄金产业将为新加坡创造5亿美元的额外价值，1000个专业、管理和技术人才岗位。
美泰乐的首席执行官称，希望和亚洲市场一起成长，“我们就在亚洲最大的两个黄金消费国中国和印度当中。”此前，末日博士曾称：“个人如果都把资产持有在一个国家那么就是在犯错，我的大部分黄金持有仍然在瑞士，但已经开始转移黄金到亚洲了。”
就在三周前，新加坡刚刚做出计划，将在9月发行了一个实物交割的黄金合约，以满足亚洲市场需求，该合约包括25公斤的金条。此外，有研究机构报告称，到2020年，新加坡将取代瑞士成为全球最大的离岸财富中心。这显然也有利于其成为黄金中心。
