未来中国是最大黄金市场

科威特和沙特以及阿联酋的买家们都在寻求更多样性的投资，而迪拜则提供现货黄金合约，中东地区的黄金需求将会占越来越大的份额。
去年全球实物黄金有40%是通过迪拜被交易的。去年中东地区黄金消费量占6%，较2010年的7.8%有所下降。中国的黄金消费量占比则从19%上升到28%，美国消费量占比则从7.6%下降到4.9%。
阿拉伯银行集团(DMCC)的黄金和商品主管说：“我认为全球最大的实物市场在香港和迪拜，但香港地区更广，而迪拜更集中。”在迪拜多种商品市场的贵金属主管认为，迪拜需要一个黄金银行，一个有设施并且能存储黄金的银行，以成为全球黄金中心。
“这里的黄金市场没有监管，这里需要监管，有太多的手推车，人们从各地带着20公斤的金条来。如果客户们能有这些黄金来源的文件等等资料，那么这就能有变化。而且这不能仅仅是迪拜，是要阿联酋联邦的法规。”阿联酋应当将注意力集中在中国这个黄金最大消费国的交易身上。迪拜目前加工的是95金，而中国消费者们喜欢99金。
阿联酋将成为全球贵金属交易中心，因其是靠近中国这一黄金消费大国的一个自由贸易地区。他说“迪拜黄金交易的基础设施是非常好的，阿联酋政府应当保证迪拜的黄金产品能够被中国所接受，因为这将是未来10到20年最大的市场。”
