世界黄金生产商两巨头并购失败

世界第一大黄金生产商—加拿大巴里克黄金公司(Barrick Gold Corp)发言人周一(4月28日)称，该公司与美国纽蒙特矿业公司(NewmontMining Corp)并购谈判失败，这意味着全球两大黄金生产商的合并经营的夭折。
根据原计划，为了达成并购的目的，巴里克要以130亿美元买下纽蒙特矿业的股票。但是，上周五(4月25日)巴里克收到纽蒙特董事会的正式回函，纽蒙特主席Vincent Calarco在信件中回绝了巴里克最后的并购请求。他表示，巴里克想要并购纽蒙特只是一厢情愿，公司不认为成立一个新的公司会对股东利益起到任何积极的作用。
