美国低收入者爱黄金

2011年美国人最看好的长期投资品是黄金，当时黄金处于历史新高，而房地产和股市均低于现在的水平。此后黄金价格大幅下跌，美国人对其兴趣有所减弱。目前24%美国人将黄金视为最佳长期投资，与选择股票的比例相同。
今年，美国的房地产市场在全国范围内都出现复苏，房价在2007年次贷危机大跌之后也已经大幅回升。美国房价的回升可能是更多美国人将其视为最佳长期投资品的主要原因。在2002年的房地产繁荣时期，一半美国人认为房地产是最好的投资品。
唯一最看好黄金的群体是低收入者。根据调查结果，在所有收入群体中，唯一认为黄金是最佳长期投资品的是年收入低于3万美元的美国家庭，比例达到31%。相反，最不看好黄金的是美国的高收入阶层，选择黄金的只有18%。高收入美国人更看好房地产和股票，这也许与他们过去投资这些资产的经历有关。
