北京或成第三个黄金进口口岸

路透社援引消息人士称，中国已开始允许通过首都北京进口黄金，这将有助于中国以低调的方式提高官方储备。
在继深圳和上海后，中国开放第三个口岸进口现货黄金，也可能危及香港在中国黄金贸易的重要地位，因内地可以直接进口更多所需的黄金，而非透过香港–这一可能泄露具体数据的渠道。
中国大陆并不公布任何黄金贸易数据。金市唯一能得知中国买进情况的方式，是香港每月公布的出口数据。香港去年供应中国大陆1495吨黄金，价值530亿美元。
中国传统上的黄金进口大都是由香港流入深圳，深圳市中国黄金珠宝加工的中心，中国近70%的此类生意聚集于此。上海在去年才开放成为第二个准许进口黄金的港口。
同时，在中国只有12家银行准许进口黄金，包括工商银行、农业银行、澳新银行、汇丰银行等。
