印度央行：未来放宽黄金进口管制

印度央行（RBI）行长拉詹(Raghuram Rajan)4月2日在与研究人员和分析师的电话会议中称，倾向于未来放宽黄金进口管制，但步伐较为缓慢而稳定。
2014财年印度的经常帐赤字成功得到控制，放宽黄金进口限制的具体时间拉詹表示需要与政府讨论后才能得出，““解除黄金进口限制固然必要，但未来也可能面临很大的不确定性，因此做出任何大动作前都需要进行慎重的考虑。”
印度财长P. Chidambaram表示，“过去几天印度政府已经允许一些私人银行重新进口黄金，并且我们还正与印度央行协商，希望在实施进一步的放宽政策。”
2013年国际现货黄金价格暴跌导致印度国内黄金进口剧增，使该国经常帐赤字触及到历史高位，随后黄金进口税则由2%上调到10%。印度财长印度财长P. Chidambaram表示，“由于去年政府严格限制黄金进口，2014财年的经常帐赤字有明显的下降。”
