黄金交易暗示今年走势有望上涨

美国选择权投资大户最近对黄金看大好,过去三周出现三笔巨量的黄金ETF (指数股票型基金) 选择权交易,显示市场预期金价在今(2014)年结束前可能会上涨5-7%。
CNBC 18日报导,在分析过全球拥有最多实体黄金储备量的ETF「SPDR Gold Trust (GLD)」后,发现以GLD为目标的选择权当中,黄金投资交易最为活跃的是履约价130美元的12月买权,目前的未平仓量多达近66,000口。调查显示,这些买权几乎都是在三个交易日内作成的交易,分别是1月31日 (当日交易的买权多达24,000口)、2月3日 (交易量达21,500口) 以及2月13日 (交易量达到20,000口)。
GLD 18日终场上涨0.2%,收127.40美元,已连续第7个交易日走扬,并创2013年10月31日以来收盘新高。
由于买进买权之后,投资人有权以履约价买进股票或ETF,因此GLD必须在今年12月底前突破136.75美元(加上购买这些选择权的成本6.75美元),买进上述买权的投资人才能获利。根据报导,GLD若上升至136.75美元,代表金价大约会上扬至每盎司1,425美元左右。
有趣的是,在2月13日当天有一笔单笔成交量多达19,000口的交易,总值达到1,280万美元,似乎意味着这些买权是由某个口袋极深的机构法人所购入。
索罗斯(George Soros)去年第4季的交易状况显示,这位外号「金融巨鳄」的投资大师似乎对金矿商颇为青睐。Thomson Reuters报导,索罗斯旗下基金「Soros Fund Management」2月14日向美国证券交易委员会(SEC)提交的13-F文件,索罗斯去年Q4增持了全球最大金矿商加拿大巴瑞克黄金公司(Barrick Gold Corporation)总计630万股的股票,总值达1.11亿美元。另外,该基金也增持了Barrick Gold的买权。
