非洲英美黄金阿散蒂公司出售矿业

路透社2月10日报导，非洲最大金矿商英美黄金阿散蒂公司（AngloGold Ashanti Limited）宣布将以1.1亿美元现金出售其纳米比亚公司（AngloGold Ashanti Namibia, AGAN），买方是由摩根大通银行前矿业投资负责人Lloyd Pengilly于2012年所创立的私人矿业公司QKR Corporation。
AGAN经营纳米比亚唯一原生金矿纳瓦恰布（Navachab），该矿产量不大但生产成本相对较低，2013年1-9月共生产黄金46,000盎司，现金成本为每盎司755美元。英美黄金策略与事业开发执行副总Charles Carter表示，公司出售AGAN主要是为专注于更有价值以及较为大型的资产。
QKR公司Pengilly在声明当中表示，纳瓦恰布金矿是该公司第一个收购项目，并深信该矿具备丰富潜力，未来也将与该矿的管理阶层、员工、合约工人以及纳米比亚政府等紧密合作，以推进该矿下一个阶段的成长。
纳米比亚黄金储量估计约1万吨，而纳瓦恰布金矿黄金储量估计约210万盎司，该矿产量占全国黄金产量的90%以上。
金价去年下跌近三成，这使得金矿商被迫削减成本并专注于最具效益的业务。世界最大黄金生产商巴瑞克黄金公司（Barrick Gold Corporation）与其加拿大同业黄金公司（Goldcorp Inc）2月4日宣布，将两家公司共同持有的美国内华达州金盏花金矿（Marigold Mine），以2.75亿美元的价格出售给Silver Standard Resources Inc.。
巴瑞克执行长杰米-索卡尔斯基（Jamie Sokalsky）此前表示，为了应对金价下跌以及成本上扬等艰困的市场环境，该公司正就进一步出售旗下资产展开洽谈，主要针对那些较小型以及较高成本的金矿。索卡尔斯基指出，透过出售一些非核心的金矿，该公司能够更加致力于资源丰富的长期发展项目。
