印度黄金进口量年减41% 民众购买意愿减

《MINEWEB》11月8日报导,印度最大黄金进口代理商–国营的印度金属与矿产贸易公司(Metals and Minerals Trading Corporation of India, MMTC)表示,自4月起的本财政年度,印度黄金进口量预估将年减41%至500公吨,主要是受到印度政府限制黄金进口的影响。印度的黄金贸易商和银行等目前须按照政府七月份宣布的80/20规则进口黄金,该新规要求印度进口商必须将20%的黄金用于再出口。
MMTC董事长D S Dhesi预估,4-9月的上半财年,印度的黄金进口量约为400公吨,而受到政府政策的影响,下半财年的进口量最多将只有100公吨。印度总理的经济顾问C Rangarajan此前则是预估,本财年印度黄金进口额将较上年度的538亿美元减少至380亿美元。Rangarajan称,今年4月金价大跌一度令印度的黄金进口额攀升至160亿美元,但随后已经逐月减少。Rangarajan预估本财年的黄金进口额将年减29%。
另一方面,印度的金饰出口则表现平稳。珠宝商Riddisiddhi Bullions总监Prithviraj Kothari表示,印度每季的金饰出口都维持在35-40公吨左右。珠宝首饰出口振兴委员会主席Vipul Shah表示,随着年底圣诞节假期到来,印度的金饰出口可望增加,印度金饰的主要出口市场包括美国、欧洲、阿拉伯联合酋长国以及香港等。
孟买黄金协会发言人Harmesh Arora表示,印度政府县治黄金进口的措施导致国内的黄金供应短缺,并使得印度国内金价较国际金价有高出约每盎司100-130美元的溢价,相比去年此时的溢价不过只有2-3美元,这自然使得民众购买黄金的意愿大减。Arora指出,过去在排灯节(印度最大的黄金购买节日)购买100公克黄金的消费者,今年的购买量可能将只有20-30公克。
