印度排灯节黄金消费爆冷

近几个月来，印度黄金价格已经从6月底的每10克2.5万卢比增长到3万卢比。高昂的金价令众多消费者望而却步，即便在今年雨量充沛的情况下，印度农村的黄金需求也没有太大增长。在往常，印度农村地区的黄金消费一般占印度全部黄金消费的60%到70%。11月3日-7日开始迎来印度排灯节。作为印度教四大节日之一，排灯节的意义相当于印度的新年。在往年这个节日是印度黄金需求的高峰期，而今年，由于各种万年历印度黄金消费爆冷。
印度低迷的国内经济同样压制消费需求。尼尔森全球消费者信心指数调查报告表明，今年第三季度，印度消费者信心指数为112，比上一季度的118点有所下降。印度首饰连锁店Jaipur Gems店主Siddharth Sacheti称，目前印度民众都在关注经济走势以及将要到来的大选将如何发展，没有人会在这个时期盲目花销。
另外印度政府近期严格控制黄金进口导致该国供应越发紧俏，作为世界上最大的黄金消费国，印度的黄金需求几乎全部依赖进口，印度政府从去年开始就多次上调黄金等进口税，并在今年7月出台规定，要求进口商所进口的黄金至少有20%用作出口用途，在没有出口完之前，不得再次进口黄金。8月13日，印度再度上调黄金和白银的进口税，将黄金进口税从8%提高至10%。
由于上述两个原因，打压印度人购买黄金的热情，由于黄金价格上涨，许多消费者因此转而购买价格更为便宜的白银或是钻石作为替代品。
由于亚洲国家当中印度和中国在传统偏好黄金，如对黄金需要旺盛也会在一定程度上支撑金价，但在目前亚洲国家对黄金需要不旺，美联储官员接二连三地提出缩减量宽的政策下，黄金不断受打压。
