罗杰斯：目前不想买金银

印度经济时报(Economic Times)19日报导，商品投资大师吉姆罗杰斯(Jim Rogers)在被问到有哪些原物料最近可供投资时表示，他总是喜爱投资价值被压抑的目标，而最近价格已自历史高点暴跌75%会是一个不错的机会。另外，他虽然拥有黄金白银，但目前并不打算买进，明(2014)年应该会有更好的买点出现。
罗杰斯表示，印度是全球最大的黄金进口国，因此当印度停止向全球购买黄金时，整个供需平衡就会改变。
彭博社报导，印度政府年内第三度上调黄金进口关税以遏制创新高的经常帐赤字，经常帐赤字高涨已经导致印度卢比相对于美元的汇率在昨(19)日创下历史新低。印度财政部8月13日表示，将黄金进口关税自8%上调至10%，白银进口关税自6%上调至10%，金矿石和治炼用金条(dore bars)的进口关税自6%上调至8%，冶炼用银条的进口关税则自3%上调至7%。
印度财政部长Palaniappan Chidambaram 8月12日甫宣布计划将本财年经常帐赤字占GDP的比重较上个财年的4.8%降至3.7%，黄金进口量控制在850公吨以内。
纽约商品期货交易所(COMEX)12月黄金期货上周(截至8月16日为止)劲扬了4.5%，创7月12日当周以来最大周涨幅；COMEX 12月白银期货上周也大涨了15%、创2008年9月来最大周涨幅。
Financial Advisor报导，罗杰斯7月23日在丹佛举办的第4届年度创新另类投资策略大会(Innovative Alternative Investments)上表示，他认为金价的修正情况会颇为复杂，而底部可能落在每盎司1,090美元。罗杰斯当时指出，金价已连涨了12年，这对任何原物料而言几乎都是前所未闻的现象。他猜测，本次修正也会跟着异乎寻常。
