通胀升温引发经济忧虑，美元走强金价大跌
周五(7月16日)美元走高，在市场风险日益高涨的背景下，对全球经济复苏受挫的担忧推动美元成为投资者的安全之选；英镑兑其它G-10货币全线下跌，市场担心英国可能面临更长时间的防疫限制。黄金期货录得4个交易日来的首次下跌，美元走高，美债收益率企稳，降低了对黄金的市场需求，但本周黄金期货仍录得连续第四个周涨幅。美油尾盘小幅下跌，收报71.45美元/桶，本周跌超4%，部分国家Delta变种毒株感染病例激增，让交易员担心需求增长将陷入停滞。
美国6月份零售额环比增长0.6%
大田环球分析师称，美国6月零售销售意外增长，因商品需求依然强劲，提振了第二季经济增长加速的预期。随着经济重新开放，服务支出已开始回升，可能将部分支出从商品支出拉向零售销售报告中未涵盖的部分服务支出。
欧洲央行据称就政策指引的措辞调整产生内部分歧
据知情官员透露，欧洲央行决策者对在下周管委会会议之前分发的文件草案中有关货币刺激政策措辞的调整意见产生分歧。欧洲央行在本月完成策略评估后，将在7月22日对包括利率在内关键工具的指引进行调整。此次评估提高了央行的通胀目标，并纳入一项在利率接近其下限时特别有力或持久提供支持的承诺。虽然管委会一致通过了政策评估中的措辞，也同意必须避免任何过早的政策收紧，但其偏鹰派和偏鸽派的成员们在如何于当前政策中体现新策略的意见上存在一定距离。
白宫：对通胀问题“绝非袖手旁观”
白宫经济顾问委员会委员Jared Bernstein表示 ，白宫正在解决与港口、住房和微芯片相关的供给侧问题，供应紧张推高了价格。政府官员会见住宅建筑行业代表，试图解决导致房价创纪录上涨的住房供应短缺问题。
