考虑到所有因素，第二季度黄金价格存在上行风险。该公司指出，仍有大量流动性在寻找栖身之所。

支持黄金的主要理由之一是，它是一种风险对冲。在第二季展望报告中写道，由于有如此多的流动性在寻找栖身之所，黄金仍被视为目前经济复苏阶段所需的资产。
她表示:“仍有大量流动性在寻找归宿(IMF估计，去年全球央行的资产负债表增加了12万亿美元)，黄金作为风险对冲的作用仍然有效。”
全球经济复苏面临的最大风险是新冠肺炎疫情。“2021年的恢复将取决于疫苗接种的进展、当前的刺激和大流行前的动态，”她指出:“‘回归常态’带来的快感，会导致社交距离措施的放松，以及新的疾病爆发的出现，这是造成这种情况的主要风险之一。”
由于病毒继续变异，全球经济如何从这里复苏仍是一个未知数，而欧洲经济仍比北美落后几个月。
第二季度黄金的利好因素包括实际和名义利率为负、长期通胀担忧、刺激措施带来的大量流动性以及地缘政治紧张局势加剧。
看空的驱动因素是疫苗在世界各地的推广和更多的风险情绪。
“从历史上看，对通胀的担忧在很大程度上(但并不总是)有利于黄金。然而，这一次，消费者信心的增长和疫苗接种计划的良性结果的预期结合起来，使投资者的注意力集中在经济增长前景上;这提高了长期债券的收益率。”
今年年初，投资者转向风险资产的行为损害了黄金。在第二季度，黄金看到了来自现货市场的支撑。
