美指创新高，收益率回落，黄金下跌空间有限

3月23日，美元指数刷新近两周的高位，现货黄金出现明显下跌，但美债收益率的回落则限制了黄金下跌空间，同时美元涨势受限，让黄金价格得到更多的支撑，不过美债收益率重新走高是大概率的。
不过美元避险地位被围绕欧洲新抗疫封锁措施的担忧再度巩固。德国将封锁措施延长至4月18日，呼吁民众在复活节期间待在家中，总理默克尔警告表示：“我们目前基本上正处于一波新疫情当中，”传染性更强的病毒变种正在欧洲大陆蔓延。
美联储官员近几周似乎容忍债券收益率上升，进一步提升美元吸引力。目前关注焦点转向美联储主席鲍威尔和美国财长耶伦周二稍晚在国会的听证会。
美联储主席鲍威尔在为周二上午于国会作证准备的讲话稿中表示：“经济复苏的速度比普遍预期的要快，而且看起来还在加强。”他说，家庭支出已经增加，楼市已完全复苏。
他说：“然而，受疫情再度加重和进一步保持社交距离影响最大的经济领域仍然疲软，尽管失业率仍处于6.2%的高位，但低估了这一不足，特别是劳动力市场参与率仍明显低于大流行前的水平。复苏还远未完成，所以，在美联储，我们将继续提供经济所需的支持，只要有需要。”
一位消息人士称，拜登顾问在3万亿至4万亿美元之间权衡新的立法行动规模，立法行动包括修复破旧的基础设施、应对气候变化等。另一位消息人士称，拜登顾问有基础设施和其他优先事项的一揽子计划，总计规模高达3万亿美元，他们本周与拜登讨论了这些事项。
10年期美债收益率在上周触及近14个月高位1.752%后回落，令美元涨势受限，并阻止了黄金价格快速走低。但美债收益率重新走强是大概率事件，市场需要试图找出，让美联储感到痛苦的收益率水平在哪。
一些人认为公债收益率大幅上升是通胀即将飙升的警告信号，可能破坏经济复苏。但巴尔金称，他对此并不担心，“通胀预期一直很牢固，这是件好事，不是坏事，只要它们正常就好。”
前美联储工作人员、现任梅隆银行首席分析师Vincent Reinhart指出，只要预期不消失，美联储将忍受一定的通胀。如果预期消除，将是一个代价高昂的错误，因为那将很难恢复。更何况，公众深信美联储随时准备好让通胀持续受控，这样的信念预计将帮助通胀实际处于掌控之中。
