油價崩跌美元重新受青睞，現貨黃金重新走低

NYMEX原油期貨5月合約價格週一(4月20日)史無前例跌至負值。由於美國原油存儲設施接近裝滿，投資者一直在削減近月石油期貨合約多倉。能源價格下跌，還因為主要產油國上周達成的減產尚未抵消新冠疫情導致的需求崩跌影響。
為放緩疫情擴散而實施的工廠關閉和旅行限制措施導致油價崩跌，使資金流出大宗商品貨幣和其他風險資產，流入美元計價資產。
國際貨幣基金組織(IMF)總裁格奧爾基耶娃週一表示，疫情造成的影響將意味著170個國家今年經濟將出現負增長，IMF或需要考慮採取“非常規措施”來幫助各國應對新冠大流行，並緩解其經濟影響。
在美國，關於什麼時候解除抗疫限制措施的爭論週一加劇，抗議者稱強制封鎖是“暴政”，很多抗議者對衛生專家表達不信任，對國內實際疫情規模表示懷疑，指責官員反應過度、所採取的行動帶來的危害比病毒本身更大。
現貨黃金今年已經大漲近10%，4月14日觸及約七年半高位1747.36美元，因新冠疫情大流行攪亂全球市場以及全球各央行出臺一波貨幣刺激措施。
但投資者對黃金的避險需求增加被強勢美元和低油價帶來的潛在通縮預期抬頭所抵消。金價可能受到美元上漲，以及實物需求下降的打壓。如果金融市場再次重挫，投資者需要變現更具流動性的資產以維持生計，那麼金價也可能受到衝擊。
在被問及是否支援通過歐盟預算和發行共同債券、幫助義大利和西班牙等受疫情打擊最重的其他歐盟國家時，默克爾表示，歐盟條約中的條款已經允許採取此類行動，而且已經被用於資助一項歐洲短期工作計畫。
