2月14日，现货黄金围绕关口窄幅震荡，但市场对公共卫生事件的担忧，金价仍受到一定的支撑，而且全球的一季度经济可能出现自2009年以来的首次衰退，加上中东局势出现恶化，市场对避险资产有持续的关注。
但市场预期，美联储将维持低利率，并可能在公共卫生事件损害美国经济时提供更多宽松政策，这有效遏制了黄金价格回调。
最近几天，美联储官员在全球公共卫生风险高企的背景下，提升了经济前景面临的不确定性。美联储的一些地区官员曾表示，如果出现这一不良局面，可能会为降息打开大门，以帮助美国经济继续前进。
国际货币基金组织(IMF)发言人赖斯称：“有很多不确定性……我们需要保持高度警惕，尽我们所能对此进行监测。”
叙利亚国家电视台周四表示，该国空防击落数枚来自以色列的导弹，这些导弹飞越戈兰高地，在命中叙国首都大马士革的目标前被击落。
伊朗伊斯兰革命卫队指挥官Hossein Salami周四在官方电视台直播的现场中称，如果美国和以色列犯错，伊朗就准备打击他们。
