2月6日，现货黄金有希望持续走强，但市场对公共卫生事件持谨慎态度，而美国经济数据表现强劲，新兴市场因公共卫生事件受挫，美元指数刷新高位，限制了黄金的反弹空间，但是美国经济没有达到特朗普的预期目标，为美国近年来的最慢增速。
欧洲央行(ECB)高级官员周三表示，全球公共卫生事件正增加全球经济的不确定性，但其影响可能是短期和暂时的，从而限制了采取政策行动的必要性。
中国国务院关税税则委员会周四发布公告，决定调整对原产于美国约750亿美元进口商品的加征关税措施。
自2020年2月14日13时01分起，2019年9月1日起已加征10%关税的商品，加征税率调整为5%；已加征5%关税的商品，加征税率调整为2.5%。
除上述措施外，其他对美加征关税措施继续按规定执行。对美加征关税商品排除工作继续开展。中方希望，双方能够遵守协议约定，努力落实好协议相关内容，增强市场信心，推动双边经贸关系发展，促进世界经济增长。
公共卫生事件也料支持已基本主宰汇市约两年的美元进入2020年仍维持高档，受访的分析师中，半数预测美元的优势将至少再持续六个月。
美国去年进口了24亿桶原油，为1992年以来的最低水平，因为随着石油生产和勘探的激增，美国大幅降低了对外国石油的依赖。
然而美国经济并没有达到特朗普设想中的目标，2019年增长2.3%，这是三年来最慢的增速，而2018年的增速为2.9%。
特朗普曾表示，大幅削减贸易逆差，会使得美国经济在可持续的基础上年增长率提高至3%。
