12月6日，受到强劲非农数据影响，避险情绪缓和，金价被大幅抛售，但由于全球贸易局势仍未有明确的发展，金价并没有进一步的下跌。同时特朗普的减税措施未能带来更多的经济支撑，且英国大选等消息仍让市场处于一定谨慎。
美国劳工部公布的11月季调后非农就业人口录得增加26.6万人，远超预期的增加18万人，并录得10个月新高；11月失业率录得3.5%，低于预期的3.6%。
有评论称，美国11月非农就业人口增幅为10个月来最大，因此前罢工的通用汽车工人重返就业市场。且医疗行业增加招聘，这证明尽管制造业持续低迷，但经济依旧温和扩张。
两大国的贸易摩擦是市场主要的关注对象，但目前并未有太多消息爆出，市场投资者还是保持谨慎。
除了英国之外，作为世界互联网市场发展最快的国家之一，印尼政府周三表示将推行新规，要求外企支付电子商务交易税。奥地利官员称，他们将从明年1月起征收数字税，旨在为所有企业提供公平的竞争环境。加拿大财政部则表示，特鲁多政府会推进数字税政策，以确保跨国科技公司按照在加拿大获得的收入缴税。
经合组织（OECD）周四发布的报告显示，2018年美国税收收入占GDP比重下降了2.5个百分点，在经合组织国家中降幅最大。而此前特朗普承诺的，减税刺激经济增长尚未兑现。经合组织的报告推升了市场的避险，对金价构成一些支撑。
这一减税措施几十年来首次戏剧性地改变了美国的税收格局，永久性地将公司税率从35%降至21%，暂时降低了个人税率，限制了州和地方的税收减免，还有其他一些变革。
目前针对总统特朗普的弹劾调查将美国政党博弈推向了高潮。一方面，民主党人控制的众议院情报委员会3日公布的调查报告宣称坐实了调查的“合理性”；另一方面，共和党人也开始群起反攻，极有可能成为史上第三位被弹劾总统的特朗普愤而抨击“弹劾”本身就是卑鄙的字眼。
分析认为，在美联储暂停降息的背景下，全球央行甚至欧洲央行都可能放弃继续降息。全球宽松的环境可能转变，这对金价并不是好消息，会给金价中期走势带来压力。
随着官员们越来越担心负利率的影响，加上行长拉加德即将宣布一项战略评估，大多数受访者表示未来两年欧洲央行的货币政策将处于“自动驾驶”模式。经济学家现在预计，央行的下一步行动将是加息，时间节点在2022年第一季度。
