欧洲时段，中美谈判的乐观情绪给金价带来压力。来自中国商务部的消息，中美同意随协议进展分阶段取消加征关税。
在11月7日举行的新闻发布会上，商务部新闻发言人高峰对外透露说，过去两周中美双方牵头人就妥善解决各自核心关切，进行了认真、建设性的讨论，同意随协议进展，分阶段取消加征关税。
不过，投资者仍然需要关注欧美贸易纷争的进展情况。欧盟贸易专员周三再度重申，若美国加征汽车关税，欧盟一定报复。
据总部位于布鲁塞尔的欧盟委员会估计，美国若对进口汽车加征25%的关税，将意味着欧盟出口到美国的汽车售价提高1万欧元。
现在的市场焦点转移到12月12日英国的大选，大选之前的调查和竞选活动，将会给脱欧前景带来影响。
约翰逊目前的民调支持率领先。工党计划重新谈判英退事宜，并将修订后的协议提交新的全民公投，这会持续好几个月时间，导致市场不确定性增加。
10月欧元区企业活动增幅超过最初预期，但仍接近停滞。该调查的前瞻性指标显示，当前的增长势头可能会消退。欧元区黯淡的经济增长前景令市场预期欧洲央行将在更长期内进一步放松货币政策，欧元连续三天收跌。
IMF预计，2020年和2021年欧元区经济将增长1.4%，低于此前预计的1.5%的增长率。IMF表示，经济放缓的主要原因是欧元区最大经济体德国增长乏力，第三大经济体意大利经济停滞不前。IMF下调了此前对这两个国家的成长预测。IMF现预计今年德国经济仅增长0.5%，低于4月预测的增长0.8%。这将是2018年增幅的三分之一。
