美元风光不再，黄金关口狂虐美元

8月21日，国际金价有所下滑，但仍在关口附近徘徊，但是美元指数吹高回落，无法突破高点。美联储将公布7月会议纪要。同时特朗普在贸易问题上挑战中国，也担心美国经济衰退，本周末杰克逊霍尔全球央行年会也吸引了市场的大部分目光。而收益率曲线再度倒挂的情况也有可能再出现。
若美联储7月会议纪要或者鲍威尔周五在杰克森霍尔会议上的讲演暗示，美国政策制定者并非全然支持毫无保留的降息模式，可能推动短期利率上升，收益率曲线趋平。
但美国两年期和10年期公债收益率曲线上周出现2007年以来首次倒挂，让投资人大感不安，他们认为这是预示美国经济即将陷入衰退的信号。有一些人怀疑衰退势必会接着出现。
制造业的同步与领先指标则已持续转差。建造业表现亦转弱，商业景气指标亦已亮起警告讯号。强美元、单位劳动成本上升、供应链中断及海外收入减少等因素，稍后可能会挤压企业盈利并削减职位。
可能要不了多久，收益率曲线就会出现持续更久、程度更严重的倒挂，CME的“联储观察”工具依然显示，年内累计降息至少三次，因此金价下方空间有限，1480美元附近存在强支撑。
周二，美国总统特朗普在与罗马尼亚总统共见记者时称，美国目前面对的任何经济后果都是短期的，要有人在经贸问题上挑战中国，这是必须要做的事情，我(跟美前任总统们)唯一的不同就是我采取了行动。
特朗普的贸易政策带来了重大风险，关税计划搅动全球市场，并加剧了投资者的担忧，也令美联储决策层感到不安。美元指数无法延续之前持续了一周的涨势。
官员们表示，总统特朗普正在研究如何在必要时提振美国经济。特朗普与顾问们讨论了削减薪资税的可能性。这项减税可以立即增加美国民众的支出能力。
但同时势必扩大美国的赤字支出。目前数以百万计的美国劳动者必须缴纳薪资税，作为政府医疗保险计划和社会福利计划的资金来源。
特朗普周二还说，他考虑的另一个选项是资本利得指数化，此举可降低出售股票等资产的利得税，但他表示并非要立即采取行动。
