周一，美国总统特朗普在会后与安倍举行的记者会上称，他希望消除贸易壁垒，让美国出口商品在日本享有平等地位。特朗普表示，“贸易方面，我想我们将宣布一些事情，可能在8月，宣布对两国都非常好的事。”
中国国务委员兼外长王毅上周表示，美方如果要将中美经贸磋商建立在不平等的基础之上，中方当然不能接受。任何不平等协议都不可能成立，也不可能得到认同。
美国本月将2000亿美元中国商品的进口关税提高到25%，并威胁要对另外价值逾3000亿美元的中国商品征收新的关税。由于美国和中国间的贸易摩擦还没有解决方案，因此投资人很难进行风险投资。只是规避贸易风险的主要避风港是美元，黄金的光环已褪去。
特朗普之前多次声称，美国已经收取了数十亿美元的中国关税，这在一定程度上促成了美国经济的强劲增长。经济学专家则表示，关税运作实际不是特朗普认为的那样。
美国和中国是世界上两个最大经济体，他们之间发生的关税斗争正值美国经济明显放缓之时。影响美国经济增长和美联储决策的最重要事情，是贸易形势如何影响未来几个月的商业信心和投资，进而左右汇市和金市人气。
全球央行通胀会以降息来刺激经济活动，同时也会扩大物价上行压力。在通胀缓慢上升的时候降息，经济会面临过热风险，而这往往是经济迎接痛苦衰退的前兆。
