黄金空头失守，基本面提振黄金

3 月12日现货黄金上涨，虽然英镑暴跌提振了美元，但是因为脱欧传出了负面消息，脱欧协议的第二次投票将失败，提振了市场的避险情绪，加上美国公布的通胀数据不及预期，加重了美联储对加息的疑虑，美指重新转跌，黄金有所上涨。
特雷莎·梅周一在最后关头与欧盟就脱欧协议达成具法律约束力的修改，试图以此赢得议会的支持。这一结果令市场出乎意料，英镑上日暴涨逾1%，涨势并延续至周二，日内刷新本月高点至1.3287。
但英国司法大臣考克斯最新给出的脱欧协议的法律建议显示，欧盟向英国提供的解释性文件不会赋予担保协议任何法律保障权利，这与梅及其内阁其他成员的观点相矛盾。
这一消息导致汇价在欧洲时段迅速转跌，抹去上日全部涨幅，日内最大跌幅达1.11%，全天波幅逾280点。因为它实际上意味着议会对于首相梅脱欧协议的第二次投票将会失败。之前英国议员们已经威胁再次否决她的脱欧协议。
特雷莎·梅稍早前表示，如果她在周二议会表决中失败，则她会让议会在周三(3月13日)就是否无协议脱欧进行投票，如果议会否决无协议脱欧，随后将对是否要求有限期推迟脱欧进行表决。
哈斯克尔称，英国3月29日正式脱欧后生效的过渡期可能会长于预期的21个月。长期来看，企业仍然需要了解英国将与欧盟达成关税联盟协定，还是达成自由贸易协定，以判断与欧盟之间的新贸易壁垒会有多高。
周二出炉的数据显示，美国2月未季调CPI年率录得1.50%，2月未季调核心CPI年率录得2.10%，两者均不及预期值和前值0.1个百分点。
国内和全球经济增长放缓，抑制了通胀，即使劳动力市场吃紧，推高了工资水平。上日公布的数据也显示，尽管美国1月零售销售意外攀升，但12月数据被大幅下修。
美国政府上月报告，去年第四季经济环比增长年率初估值为2.6%。不过，12月贸易逆差和建筑支出等数据已促使分析师预计，政府会在本月稍晚公布修正值时下修第四季GDP初估值。
美国第一季经济增速估计不到1.5%。美国劳工部上周五报告，2月经济仅创造2万个就业岗位，为近一年半以来最低。
