周三晚间，美元指数短线急跌，击破95关口，最低刷新逾两周以来的低位94.93，为8月6日以来新低。美元指数小时图上出现潜在的头肩顶形态，颈线位于96.00附近，沿着它旋转会产生一个接近于95.00的测试目标。停滞已久的多头可能把美元的进一步反弹视为离场观望的机会，95.80-96.00可能会限制涨势。现货黄金拉升，突破1200关口，最高升至1201.40美元/盎司，创8月13日以来最高。
央行年会及美联储会议将决定美元命运
周五美联储主席鲍威尔将在杰克逊霍尔年会上发表讲话，在被特朗普施压之后美联储会作何反应？保持政策独立的美联储若继续表达继续加息，美元指数则可能重回上涨。
鲍威尔央行年会上发表讲话时，可能会因特朗普言论而面对一些令人不悦的提问，但这不会改变未来的经济形势或是美联储政策。美联储有可能不是在12月，就会在明年3月暂停升息，这非因特朗普施压所致，乃是因为在联邦基金利率逼近中性而可能仍未浮现通胀威胁的背景下。
