贸易纷争激烈，哈雷摩托打脸特朗普
随着美国贸易纷争的不断激发，众多企业也深受其害，进入美国知名摩托车制造商哈雷戴维斯宣布，将部分生产搬出美国避免欧盟关税。这一宣布让特朗普倍感失望，特朗普表示：“我是万万没想到啊。为了他们，我拼了老命，最终可以让他们免受关税影响。关税只是哈雷的一个借口罢了。耐心点！让美国变得更强大！”
哈雷此举可以说是给了特朗普响亮的一记耳光，毕竟特朗普正是以“保护美国企业”为由开打贸易战的。而哈雷摩托作为美国的标志性企业却“首个反水”，可以说非常不给特朗普面子了。
特朗普发推文对哈雷的决定表达了意外和失望。“这么多公司中，哈雷竟是第一个举白旗投降的，我是万万没想到啊。为了他们，我拼了老命，最终可以让他们免受关税影响。关税只是哈雷的一个借口罢了。耐心点！让美国变得更强大！”
此前，特朗普曾称赞这家美国标志性的摩托车制造商“在美国制造”，他也反复批评其它生产企业将生产转移到美国之外。去年年初，特朗普还会见了哈雷的高官们。他们清一色地骑着炫酷的哈雷摩托登场，结果特朗普情不自禁地大喊“我爱威斯康星州！”，“哈雷！美国制造！”
但哈雷宣布这一决定，是特朗普政府通过征收关税（包括对欧盟征收钢铝关税）保护美国就业的意想不到的结果。欧盟随后对美国关税进行了报复，宣布对价值逾30亿美元的美国产品征收报复性关税，包括波旁威士忌酒、游艇和摩托车。
哈雷在一份声明中表示， 欧盟对美国制造的摩托车的报复性关税从6%上调至31%。该公司表示，尽管其不打算上调摩托车零售价或批发价，它预计从美国出口至欧盟的每辆摩托车成本将增加2200美元，从而在2018年为公司造成总计3000万至4500万美元的损失。
哈雷解释道，公司可以通过将其部分生产转设施移到海外以“避免关税负担”。去年，哈雷近4万辆新摩托车销往欧洲，占其总销量的16%。欧洲是哈雷在美国以外的最大市场。
