边界问题影响脱欧，贸易隔阂将出现
专家表示，英国与欧盟即便达成最佳的自由贸易协定也无法解决北爱尔兰与爱尔兰边界问题，贸易摩擦仍将存在，而该问题将危及英国的脱欧谈判。典型的例子，就是爱尔兰第二大乳制品加工公司——湖畔乳业的乳制品运输将耗时更长，过程更繁琐。

分析师表示，即便在英国脱欧后英国与欧盟试图避免在边界建立检查站，但估计像以前一样的无缝操作恐怕难以为继。
英国认为这种问题很好解决。上周英国的国际贸易大臣Liam Fox说，这个问题最好通过与欧盟达成“全面而自由的贸易协定”来解决。英国相信这样的交易可以让脱欧后英国与欧盟实现无摩擦贸易。但是专家们却不敢苟同。
分析师的说法，即便是在反对党工党的建议下——英国留在关税同盟，也不一定能解决边界问题。他们表示，农产品不会自动被关税同盟所覆盖，必须进行检查以确保符合良好的监管标准。
虽然英国表示可以通过一种所谓的智能边界将这种干扰降到最低，但是研究人员表示仍然需要建立检查点和监测点。
鉴于自由贸易协定和技术都无法解决边界问题，她可能要给予北爱尔兰相对欧盟的一个特殊地位，或者保持英国的贸易规则与欧盟一直以避免边界的诞生。麻烦的是，她的支持者们，如伦敦市长约翰逊(Boris Johnson)，应该都不会乐意接受这两个决定。
