两个因素或会引发金融危机
金融市场的状况只需要一点点次贷危机火花，就足以引发全球市场的轩然大波。而有分析人士预言新的金融危机将在2018年年底前到来。下面两只黑天鹅中的任意一只，都有可能引发金融危机。
美联储操之过急
很明显，美国经济并没有像一些人在大选后预测的那样腾飞：特朗普总统和共和党人未能通过市场希望看到的任何财政刺激措施。银行和能源公司的监管有所放松，但这与特朗普所承诺的全面医疗改革、减税和基础设施支出相去甚远。
消费者支出仍然疲弱，因此人们可能没有信心调查显示的那样自信。在医疗保健和住房等某些领域，通胀已经抬头，但除此以外，通胀仍旧处于相当低的水平。
部分原因在于，他们等了太久才结束量化宽松，开始减少资产负债表。另外，耶伦、费希尔和其他联邦公开市场委员会(FOMC)成员都笃信菲利普斯曲线联邦公开市场委员会成员知道他们落后于这条曲线，又想在任期结束前进行一些口头干预。
美联储最新公布的会议纪要显示，一些FOMC成员在某种程度上开始更加鹰派，部分原因是他们想要抵消预期中的政府财政刺激。尽管这一刺激计划尚未出台，但联邦公开市场委员会(FOMC)仍在采取行动。
当美联储在经济衰退的早期阶段提高利率而不是降低利率时，会发生什么？逻辑表明，美联储将抑制所有的通胀压力，并将经济推向彻底的通缩。而美国经济本就负债累累，若转向通缩将造成灾难性的后果。
欧洲央行“弹尽粮绝”
以欧元区经济的规模来看，欧洲央行的刺激措施要比美联储激进得多。尽管这样的干预很难“圆满结束”，但这一次似乎起到了效果。随着各种民粹主义运动和银行危机逐渐淡出人们的视野，欧洲经济至少看起来正在复苏。但这些威胁是消失了还是只是被掩盖了？别忘了英国脱欧谈判还在进行中。
分析人士认为，很有可能，这两只黑天鹅中的任何一只都可能引发美国的经济衰退，而下一轮美国经济衰退将是全球经济衰退的一部分，并将导致大规模的政府债务累积。
