前澳洲联储副主席：进一步货币宽松或弊大于利
前澳洲联储副主席艾迪(Malcolm Edey)周一(10月31日)在接受《澳大利亚金融评论》的独家采访后报道称表示，各国央行推行负利率和债券购买等措施的努力没有取得很多效果，其中一些可能适得其反，尽管这些措施已尽力维持了这么长时间。
艾迪表示，最有可能出现的情况是，澳洲经济将持续逐步复苏，并逐渐恢复正常。但全球央行官员面临的情况依然存在风险。如果经济没有出现很大增长的话，澳洲联储的官员可能面临“还要做些什么”这个问题。但考虑到当前经济环境已经不允许澳洲联储继续降息，一旦确有必要，澳洲联储或许另辟蹊径。
艾迪指出，世界经济还没有完全从金融危机中恢复过来。全球经济增长的程度还不足使央行官员有信心继续加息。现在利率依然维持在低水平。因此，从这层意义上看，金融危机的阴影依然萦绕在大家心头。
此后，澳洲联储将于周二(11月1日)发布利率决议，投资者普遍预计，在此次会议上，考虑到澳洲通胀率出现回升，和两大城市悉尼及墨尔本房价继续高企的状况，澳洲联储几乎没有可能去进一步降息。
