美元持稳于6周低点上方
周四(8月4日)亚太时段，美元基本持稳于近期触及的6周低点上方，而英镑则维持窄幅波动，市场强烈预期英国央行可能会实施2009年以来的首次降息以防止经济衰退。
日内目前美元指数反弹至95.65附近，高于本周稍早触及的6周低点95.00。
与此同时，美元兑日元小幅涨至101.55，欧元兑美元则持稳于1.1145一线附近。
美元接下来聚焦本周五（8月5日）将公布的美国非农就业报告，以观察该数据是否会令美联储（Fed）今年稍晚升息的预期重燃。
日内美国利率期货走势暗示，投资者目前预计美联储在12月或之前升息的可能性为40%。
分析师表示，若美国非农就业报告好于预期，将会为美元兑日元提供动力。由于日本央行（BOJ）上周宣布的政策令原本预期该行会采取更积极宽松举措的投资者感到失望，日元随后走坚。
本周美元兑日元已下跌约0.7%，强势日元促使日本财务省财务官浅川雅嗣周三加大对日元升势的口头干预，警告投机客勿推动日元上涨过快。
日本央行还称，将在9月的下次会议上对经济和央行政策的效果进行“全面评估”。
日内日本央行副行长岩田规久男重申，若有必要日本央行准备再度放宽政策，但评估不是打算给未来的货币政策指明一个具体的方向，令投资者继续猜测下月的全面评估将包含哪些内容。
市场分析人士称，岩田规久男的评论未给日元提供任何明显的交投刺激。
另一方面，日内英镑兑美元持稳于1.3328，投资者静候英国央行周四稍晚公布政策决定，使英镑波动受限。
