英国服务业PMI终值创逾7年来最低
Markit 周三(8月3日)公布的数据显示，6月英国公投退欧对企业活动造成重创。英国7月服务业PMI终值创2009年3月最低水平。疲弱的PMI数据暗示英国第三季度GDP或萎缩0.4%，这或将使周四英央行降息成为“意料之中的事”。
具体数据显示，英国7月综合PMI终值为47.5，低于预期值和前值(两者均为47.7)；英国7月服务业PMI终值为47.4，创2009年3月最低水平，持平预期值和前值。
Markit首席经济学家Chris Williamson表示，糟糕的数据暗示英国第三季经济将萎缩0.4%，这是自2009年初以来所未见的状况，当时英国央行进行了上一次的降息。
Williamson还表示，英国所有行业PMI较前月降幅前所未有，这无疑增加了英国滑入衰退的可能性，至少是温和衰退。Williamson表示，因此降息看来是一个无可避免的结果，尽管其他非标准的刺激措施的力度及性质仍具有相当大的不确定性。
Markit称，现在还无从判断英国PMI是否将保持现在的疲弱水准，该机构并称英国服务业对未来一年的信心降至自2009年2月以来最低。服务业是英国经济的引擎。
