中国和巴西对美国经济产生“巨大”影响
美国旧金山联储主席威廉姆斯周一(3月28日)接受CNBC采访时称，全球经济正在对美国决策者用以作出利率决策的指标产生重大影响，其中尤以中国和巴西的影响为甚。威廉姆斯今年没有货币政策的投票权。
威廉姆斯表示，世界头号经济体美国的经济形势“相当不错”，通胀稳定，就业增长也颇为强劲。上周五(3月25日)发布的数据显示，美国经济去年四季度终值增长1.4%，高于商务部之前1%的增幅预期。
他指出，“真正的问题是全球金融经济发展态势，全球各地会发生什么，对美元和美国经济又会产生怎样的影响，这些眼下都无从确定。我们深知我们是全球经济中的一员，就我们的通胀和就业目标而言，巴西和中国所发生的事情会对美国产生巨大的影响。”
在被问及美联储会传达出什么样的讯息时，威廉姆斯回答道，“我得说，委员会中有一种普遍共识，那就是，我们未来几年逐步退出宽松政策并开始加息的基本策略是有强劲后盾的。应当什么时候加息，又应以什么样的频率加息，这才是真正的问题。问题的答案取决于经济数据，所以我们必须得等。”
