当前市场普遍预计美联储将在周三货币政策会议结束时维持联邦基金利率在0.25-0.50%不变。
但交易商将更加关注，通胀放缓的可能性以及最近全球市场的震荡态势是否会促使美联储暗示担忧美国和世界经济前景。如果美联储发出这样的信号，则或引发对其升息步伐的疑问。
对中国增长放缓溢出效应的担忧，打压油价上周跌至13年低点，为上一交易日轧空创造了条件。周五油价飙升逾10%。
近期出现的避险情绪和市场震荡，令投资者对美联储短期内进一步升息的押注降温，从而减少了美元持仓。
根据上周五（1月22日）路透计算结果和美国商品期货交易委员会(CFTC)公布的数据，1月19日当周汇市投机客连续第四周削减美元多头押注，使得净多仓降至10月末以来最低水平。
本周五（1月29日）日本央行将结束为期2天的货币政策会议，熟悉该行想法的消息人士称，该行可能会将下一财年的核心消费者通胀预估下调至1%以下。
虽然本周日本央行料维持货币政策不变，但表现不佳的经济报告令市场对该行将在4月之前推出更多宽松举措的预期升温。
周一日本公布的贸易数据显示，12月出口较上年同期下滑8.0%，降幅高于预期，且连续第3个月下降。这显示中国及其他新兴市场经济放缓，正在损及日本商品的海外需求。
日内欧元/美元上涨约0.1%至1.0803，但距离上周触及的2周低位1.0776不远。周四欧洲央行（ECB）行长德拉基强烈暗示，可能在数月内出台更多宽松政策，此后欧元兑美元触及2周低点。
上周五德拉基强调，欧元区经济逐步复苏的前景未变，该行有多种工具可以用来推升欧元区通胀水平，且央行有行动的决心和意愿。
日内澳元/美元涨至0.7020附近，远高于2015年创下的7年低位0.6827，受到原油价格反弹的支撑。
北京时间14:40，美元指数报99.42，美元/日元报118.80/82，欧元/美元报1.0809/12，英镑/美元报1.4302/05，澳元/美元报0.7021/25，纽元/美元报0.6517/20。
