中东地区沙特和伊朗的断交闹剧尚未落幕，东亚地区又开始弥漫更为紧张的气氛。周三，朝鲜宣布，该国第一枚氢弹成功试爆。
日内，近中朝边境核试验基地发生5.1级地震，震源0千米，引各方关注。随后，据朝鲜媒体报道，朝鲜于北京时间上午9点30分在咸镜北道试验场成功进行核试验。
朝鲜试爆氢弹成功的消息公布之后，全球各国一片哗然。包括韩国和日本在内的近邻国家随即对此发表了强硬的声明。
韩国青瓦台于中午紧急召开国家安全保障会议(NSC)。外交部不仅召开紧急工作会议，还与韩国有关机构和联合国全面禁止核试验条约组织（CTBTO）等国际机构保持紧密沟通，并与美国和中国等国分享相关情报。
韩国总统朴槿惠随后在首尔表示，韩国将果断采取措施对付朝鲜任何的挑衅，并且与国际社会合作以确保朝鲜为进行核试验付出代价。
日本首相安倍晋三(Shinzo Abe)发表讲话称，朝鲜核试验是对日本安全的重大威胁，日本决不能容忍。
中国外交部也发布声明称，“中国坚决反对朝鲜核试验的行动，坚持通过六方会谈解决相关问题，坚持半岛无核化原则。中国将向朝方提出严正交涉，将传唤朝鲜大使并要求作出解释。”
此外，英国表示朝鲜核试验严重违反决议。法国政府发言人LE FOLL指出，“朝鲜核试验是‘挑衅行为’。全球必须对朝鲜保持‘警惕’。
朝鲜核试验无疑再度推升了金融市场中的避险情绪，黄金、日元和美债等避险资产又一次成为了投资者的“避险港湾”。
欧市盘中，现货黄金最高上涨至1083.42美元/盎司，现货白银一度收复14美元/盎司关口。美元/日元一路走低，最低下探至118.38。
