继上周三(11月18日)的美联储10月FOMC会议纪要暗示将于12月加息之后，美联储多位官员随后又发表了偏鹰派的言论，进一步令12月加息的预期升温，金价上周五(11月20日)结束了仅仅维持一日的反弹，并再度跌回1080美元下方。
美联储三号人物、纽约联储主席杜德利(Dudley)上周五称，美联储将很快为加息做好准备，预计美联储官员们不久以后就会对通胀和劳动力市场表示出更多信心。
杜德利还指出，当前美国经济处于良好态势，明年经济也会还可以。在不久之后，美国经济可能会达到美联储加息所需的状况。
圣路易斯联储主席布拉德同期也表示，美联储在启动首次升息后，将希望每次货币政策会议前，围绕利率决议的不确定性增加。
布拉德称，美国第四季实质消费增长似将“相当强劲”，并补充称他预期只要不遭遇意外冲击，经济将继续扩张许多年。经济将进入一个繁荣增长时期，美国就业市场在经历2007-2009年的金融危机之后，现在基本已恢复正常。
旧金山联储主席威廉姆斯则在上周六(11月21日)的讲话中称，只要美国经济数据不令人失望，美联储（Fed）12月货币政策会议将有“强有力的理由”升息。
