周一(9月7日)美国和加拿大正逢劳动节休市，略显平淡的金融市场之中，中国的基本面消息勇敢挑起了重任。中国央行周一公布数据显示，8月外汇储备下降逾900亿美元，这也引发离岸人民币汇率一度急跌逾200点。
中国央行在其官网公布的数据显示，中国8月末外汇储备为3.56万亿美元，比上月3.65万亿美元减少逾900亿美元。这是中国外汇储备连续四个月下降，单月减少额创有纪录以来最高。
在中国外汇储备数据公布之后，离岸人民币兑美元汇率一度急跌逾百点，最低触及6.4866。同时，彭博的数据显示，美元/人民币一个月隐含波动率自上日的6.1650%升至6.1850%，暗示人民币未来汇率恐将加剧。
