美国商务部周四公布的数据显示，美国第二季度实际GDP年化季率上修为增长3.7%，预期增长3.2%，初值增长2.3%。
同时公布的数据显示，美国第二季度个人消费支出物价指数年化季率上修为增长2.2%，符合市场预期，前值亦为增长2.2%。美国第二季度GDP平减指数修正为增长2.1%，市场预期增长2.0%，前值增长2.0%。美国通胀水平仍维持稳定。
另外，美国劳工部(DOL)公布的数据显示，美国8月22日当周季调后初请失业金人数下降0.6万，达到27.1万，预期27.4万，前值27.7万。
在这一系列美国经济数据的强劲表现后，美股和美元都有走高，而黄金市场因此受到了打压，从上涨转回下跌。
