数据显示，美国8月纽约联储制造业指数跌至-14.92，预期5.00，前值3.86。
数据还显示，美国8月纽约联储制造业支付价格指数跌至7.27，再创逾三年低点，前值7.45；8月纽约联储制造业新订单指数暴跌至-15.70，连续第三个月处于负值，前值-3.50。
纽约联储日内还表示，美国8月纽约联储制造业就业指数跌至1.82，前值3.19。
纽约联储制造业指数通过调查纽约联储制造业状况，可获知全美制造业的活动状况。
作为美国供应管理协会(ISM)制造业指数的前瞻指标之一，纽约联储制造业指数意外大幅下跌，暗示8月ISM制造业活动可能不佳。
