投资者信心不足拖累金价四连跌，纽约商品交易所8月交割的黄金期货合约14日比前一交易日下跌1.9美元，收于每盎司1153.5美元，跌幅0.16%。
14日，受到美国重要消费数据意外下降的影响，美元回落，从而推动以美元计价的黄金期货价格早盘一度反弹，但终因投资者信心不足无功而返，纽约金价连续第四个交易日以下跌报收。
市场分析人士认为，六月中旬以来金价的下跌严重打击了投资者的信心，但是美国消费数据远不及预期可能会促使美联储推迟加息进程，美元上涨的势头将随之放缓。少了这一主要的压力，近期金价下跌空间有限。
美国商务部当天公布的数据显示，6月份美国商品零售环比下降0.3%，大大低于此前市场普遍预期的增长0.3%。此外，4、5月份的零售增幅也被向下修正。
另外，14日，9月交割的白银期货价格下跌14.2美分，收于每盎司15.315美元，跌幅为0.92%；10月交割的白金期货价格下跌7.6美元，收于每盎司1028.4美元，跌幅为0.73%。
