周四(6月18日)亚市早盘，纽元/美元位于0.6890一线附近徘徊。短线纽元走势较为震荡，上一交易日纽约时段因美联储(Fed)货币政策声明鸽派而大幅飙升至0.7010高点，但随后自该点回撤，早盘因最新公布的新西兰GDP不及预期而大幅走软，盘中汇价下挫触及0.6881低点。
最新公布的数据显示，新西兰第一季度GDP季率仅增长0.2%，预期增长0.6%，前值增长0.8%；与此同时，新西兰一季度GDP年率也仅增长2.6%，不及预期的增长3.0%，前值增长3.5%。
数据公布后，纽元/美元自120小时均线大幅下挫，最低触及0.6881，目前仍于低位附近徘徊。
西太平洋银行在新西兰GDP报告公布后通过电子邮件发表评论指出，本次公布的数据远逊于西太平洋银行、市场以及新西兰联储的预期，这暗示新西兰联储可能在7月份下调官方现金利率。
该行还表示，“我们正在认真考虑，在对本周GDP数据进行深入分析后，是否应作出在7月以后还会进一步降息的预测。”
而对于新西兰联储降息问题，澳新银行(ANZ)新西兰首席经济学家Cameron Bagrie则有信心的认为新西兰联储年内可能还有两次降息，其预计将于7月降息，且之后可能在12月再度降息。
该行表示，随着新西兰供应端产能承受的压力下降，当局需要有更多政策支持经济，以期从低通胀状态向通胀目标中点回升。
