据路透社报道，美元兑欧元周二上扬，因投资人担心希腊一步步滑向债务违约，拖累欧元走软，而美国房屋数据带动了对美国联邦储备理事会很快将升息的臆测。
欧元兑美元尾盘报1.1240美元，在美国商务部公布5月建筑许可升至近八年高位后，欧元应声跌至1.1205美元的日低。
数据凸显美国楼市的力道，美国楼市是联储领导人权衡升息时机的关键考量。自2008年12月以来美联储一直维持近零利率不变，市场预计美联储将在今年稍晚升息。
美元指数纽约尾盘升0.20%，美元兑日元变动不大，报123.40日元，在亚洲时段美元曾走强。
此前日本央行总裁黑田东彦称，他上周在国会的讲话并非评估日元名义汇率水准，或预测日元未来的波动，之后日元下滑。
