据一位欧盟官员透露，欧盟执委会主席容克（Jean-Claude Juncker）周六（6月6日）拒绝与希腊总理齐普拉斯（Alexis Tsipras）通话。此前，齐普拉斯以“荒谬”为由，拒绝了国际债权人为避免希腊违约，提出的以改革换现金协议的条件。

上文提及的欧盟官员称：“容克拒绝了希腊总理周六（6月7日）通电话的要求，因为协商没有进展，希腊方面亦没有兑现周三（6月3日）晚间的承诺，即在周四（6月4日）拿出提议。事情没有新进展，因此，没有什么好讨论的。”
德国副总理加布利尔（Sigmar Gabriel）在接受采访时警告称，德国方面现在的人气是想让希腊离开欧元区。在被问及有没可能很快达成协议时，加布利尔答道：“这完全取决于希腊政府，欧洲方面已到达极限。”
欧盟（EU）一外交官称，齐普拉斯下周二（6月9日）将飞抵布鲁塞尔，赶在为期两天的欧盟-拉美峰会前，这将是就债务解决方案进行政治会谈的机会。与此同时，希腊和欧盟或MF的专家将进行平行技术谈判磋商细节问题。
希腊将本应在周五（6月5日）对IMF的还款延迟至6月底，凸显出该国脆弱的资金状况，让市场感到非常不安。延迟还款将给希腊多几天的协商时间，希腊方面希望达成的协议能与未来的债务纾困联系起来。
