当前希腊与债权人国的债务谈判已经搅得欧洲不得安宁，那边葡萄牙又出乱子了。葡萄牙社会党近日承诺，将拒绝该国债权人提出的财政紧缩的要求，并阻挠进一步裁减公务员队伍。
“我们将推行反转政策”，社会党领袖科斯塔(Antonio Costa)说道。他还称，党内多数人都希望停止对“财政紧缩政策的迷恋”。他坚称，在之前欧盟-IMF三驾马车体系下的支出大幅削减后，葡萄牙必须开始重建公共领域的关键部分。
最近民调显示，社会党对执政的保守党联盟拥有较小的领先优势，而且可能与极左翼政党组成联合政府，甚至可能与共产党联合执政。“必须要找到另外一种方式，翻过财政紧缩这一页、重振经济、创造就业，并重建人们对该国的希望，”他说道。

科斯塔指责葡萄牙政府这几天推出的私有化政策，这暗示社会党要么阻挠，要么重新审视国家航空公司TAP和公共交通枢纽与自来水厂的出售。
今年3月科斯塔宣布了55项一篮子措施，其中主要措施有提高医疗保健和教育方面的支出。该党派也将撤回就业改革，并使得企业裁员更加困难。
该计划与欧盟财政协议完全冲突，后者要求葡萄牙创造大量的基本盈余，并通过财政紧缩的方式将该国未来20年公共债务占GDP之比从130%削减至60%。
葡萄牙对财政紧缩政策越来越严厉的攻击很可能加剧德国对财政和改革纪律在南欧瓦解的担忧，尤其是如果希腊的反抗赢得了债权人的妥协。对政治“道德危机”的担忧加大了寻找希腊解决方案的复杂。
“希腊就是一个试验场，每个人都在屏息关注。这就是为什么西班牙和葡萄牙首相对财政紧缩的态度一直这么强硬的原因，”智库开放欧洲（Open Europe）的Vincenzo Scarpetta说道。
