花旗与委内瑞拉政府的10亿黄金协议

有市场人士认为，委内瑞拉和花旗(Citibank)价值10亿美元的黄金交易也是周一金价大幅回升的原因之一。
iiTrader的市场策略主管Bill Baruch表示，现在再看，上周金价的走势就显出道理来了，金价被打压，而花旗和委内瑞拉则成功就黄金交易达成协议。
很多分析师认为，上周在美国经济数据走弱的情况下，金价没能上涨是让人疑惑的。Aruch认为，这表明了黄金缺乏吸引力。
Baruch说：“上周市场出现了大量卖盘，金价走低，现在我们终于知道是为什么了。”
尽管委内瑞拉政府和花旗银行就黄金交易已经谈判需求，但上周五终于成功，该国将其部分黄金储备换成了至少10亿美元现金。
协议具体内容还不得而知，但据称，委内瑞拉将会所获得的借款支付6%至7%的利息。
由此Baruch认为，黄金市场的困难被大大扫空，可以进场做多。
Baruch表示：“多头都在等待着市场变动，我认为接下去一两天金价还会有上升。”
加拿大皇家银行资本市场(RBC Capital Markets Global Futures)的贵金属策略师George Gero也认为，委内瑞拉的黄金交易对黄金市场是非常利好的。
Gero表示：“未平仓合约重新回到了42万上方，因此基金在做二季度资产配置的同时，都在重新回到市场中。我认为委内瑞拉和花旗的交易对黄金市场是利好的。”
他认为，如果没有这10亿美元的黄金交易，那么金价会继续下行。
盛宝银行(Saxo Bank)的商品策略主管Ole Hansen表示：“花旗如果没有计划好，是不会做这样的交易的。”而从技术面，他认为，止损但触发推动了金价上行，并且周一有黄金期权到期。“1200美元/盎司的水平有很多合约。” 2
