周三，美联储主席耶伦在众议院金融服务委员会作证时的讲话内容，与周二在参议院金融委员会的证词保持一致，并未就美联储升息时间作出过多解释。美联储主席耶伦暗示联储不急升息后，交易商缩减其美元头寸，美元指数下跌，对金价构成利好支撑。
美元下跌，也因短期美债收益率从近期高位回落，因耶伦在国会作证，使原以为她会暗示是否早至今年中升息提供较明确线索的投资者失望。
两年期美债收益率周二触及两周低位，部份因为耶伦的国会证词被认为对通胀立场温和。
耶伦没有就美联储声明将在何时就升息时间上可能放弃“耐心”措辞提供进一步信息，但反而强调放弃耐心措辞不一定预示美联储将很快升息。
耶伦表示，美联储是否升息将取决于经济数据，且美联储将“在每次会议上酌情”考虑升息。
分析认为，“耶伦设法降低市场对6月美联储升息的预期。她也为自己对将公布的经济数据作反应留下很多回旋余地。”
周三美国公布1月新屋销售降幅小于预期，仍以接近2008年6月来最快速度成长。
继周二在参议院金融委员会作证后，周三耶伦在众议院金融服务委员会作证词陈述，她没有就美联储何时升息提供进一步信息。
美元指数连跌第二日，最新下滑0.3%，报94.229，美元兑几乎所有主要货币都下跌。
美元兑日元小跌0.08%，报118.890。英镑兑美元涨0.45%，报1.5524，此前触及八周高位1.5538。
欧元兑美元连升第二日，受助于希腊获得欧元区金援延期四个月的消息。
分析师表示，尽管市场怀疑希腊偿债能力，但这临时救助协议降低了对希腊退出欧元区的忧虑。
欧元兑美元上涨0.2%，报1.13590美元，欧元兑日元升0.1%，报135.060。
美元跌势被视为是暂时性的。看似美联储仍在今年升息轨道之上，尽管可能不是一些大型银行所预期的在6月升息。
和美联储政策前景形成对照，欧洲央行[微博]下月将开始实施每月600亿欧元购债计划。日本央行已积极采取了类似的量化宽松政策。交易商表示，这将令美元出现低吸买盘。
