据外媒报道,美国里奇蒙联邦储备银行总裁拉克尔10日表示,美国联邦储备委员会应该在今年6月加息。他表示,美国经济正在走强,通胀率将回归央行目标水准。
随着美国经济的进一步改善和增强,美联储加息的进程愈来愈逼近,受此消息影响,美元上涨,股市走高,10年期美债收益率持续上扬,盘中突破2%,创一个月新高。黄金作为零息资产的增持前景受压,金价中长期的利空格局不变。
“目前来看,我认为6月(对于升息)是有吸引力的选择,”拉克尔表示。“数据也许会改变这一判断,但必须得是令我意外的数据才可以。”
报道称,尽管拉克尔在通胀问题上立场强硬,且一直敦促美联储尽快加息,但这是他首次明确提出应在6月升息。
此外,旧金山联邦储备银行总裁威廉姆斯也对表示,经济状况“越来越接近可以认真考虑开始政策正常化进程。”
拉克尔表示,一年以前他就认为美联储应在2015年上半年加息,美国经济快速成长而且处于可持续的速度,更加巩固了这一立场。
报道指出,威廉姆斯认为如果等待时间过长,联储可能将不得不“大幅”升息,称及早采取行动并“逐步、审慎地”加息更为适宜。
威廉姆斯在采访中明确表示,他觉得油价下跌和美元升值对通胀的打压作用将会消失。
他表示,“这些影响将会消散,就业市场转强以及经济改善最终将成为主导力量,我认为将推动薪资增长3%至3.5%,通胀率也将重回2%。”
报道称,威廉姆斯称到时候将“考虑”是否在6月或稍晚升息的问题,但未承诺届时会投票支持采取行动。
此外美国国会参议员兰德•保罗(Rand Paul)重新提出了对美联储进行审计的议案,拉克尔谈及该议案能否通过时表示,“我认为大家最终会冷静下来,但这会对我们和政府在多个方面构成压力。”
“我认为,如果你审核联储的具体工作内容,将使我们的决策——货币政策决策进程不断受到干扰,”他说。
